About Me

I’m Mark Ledwith BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering, PGCE Mathematics and an experienced, practicing maths teacher. I offer tuition for primary and secondary aged pupils in maths, from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 (GCSE level) and all levels in between! I also tutor for the 11+ and Entrance Exams for schools in London, Essex and Suffolk. I have also taught adults seeking Qualified Teacher Status.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching and, having had great success in the past, I can help your child too. My open, friendly and humorous style of teaching comes through in my sessions, so children have fun to enhance their learning.

 

My Qualifications

I am a fully qualified mathematics teacher - PGCE Secondary Mathematics from ARU with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Civil Engineering from Brighton University. I also studied Physics at City, University of London as an undergraduate.

 

My Experience

I have twenty-five years of experience teaching maths in the state sector - predominantly in secondary schools - as well as five years as a mathematics specialist in a local primary school, where I also teach for the 11+ entrance examination. I also have fifteen years of experience as a private tutor with superb results.
