Where are you based?

I tutor from my private residence in Braintree, Essex, but also offer tuition via Zoom. While your child is being tutored, you can relax in the waiting room specifically for the use of parents.

How do you tutor, in groups, one to one?

Both! I offer tuition in groups of three, in pairs and also one to one.

 

How often does my child need to attend?

I recommend weekly sessions. However, some parents opt for twice weekly. The choice is yours.

How long is a session?

All my sessions are forty-five minutes in duration. I deliberately keep the sessions short and snappy to maximise learning.

Is your DBS up to date?

As a working teacher in the state sector, my full DBS is completely up to date.

If my child starts, am I locked in with payments?

No, not at all. You can leave whenever you feel it is the right time for your child.

When do I pay?

Most parents choose to pay after each session, while a few opt to pay in advance. The choice is yours.

If my child cannot attend, will I be expected to pay?

No. If you inform me twenty-four hours prior to the lesson, there is never a charge. Should a session be cancelled within the twenty-four hour period, I reserve the right to charge for that session.

 

Do you set homework?

Ooh, yes! Homework is a vital tool for learning. It offers the chance to build rigor and thoroughly practise previously learnt concepts.

Is it ok to contact you for general advice?

Of course, many parents do. I’m always happy to talk to parents regarding their children’s learning. Remember: advice is free!
